"Stages Of Alzheimer - What Will I Go Through"

Alzheimer's is a disease that effects the neurological processes of the brain.
This condition begins destroying brain cells influence the thinking and decision making. There are different stages of Alzheimer's that people go through.

Below is a basic list of the Alzheimer's disease stages that a person who is suffering from the condition would go through, or has gone through.

1. One of the earliest stages of Alzheimer's disease will be memory loss.
At the beginning  it's just small things that people forget.
Things like forgetting where one has put their keys, not remembering an appointment, and so on.
First, this does not seem so serious.

2. An inability to make the right decisions,The person suffering from Alzheimer's disease will start to become indecisive about basic things, and this will lead to further confusion.

3.  A further stage of Alzheimer's will be poor motor skills.
This is when the person will begin to bump into furniture drop things or difficulty opening the door and handle kitchen utensils.

4. A common characteristic of the stages of Alzheimer's disease is where the conversation starts to be affected.
 What happens here is that the ability to use the correct words in a sentence during a conversation becomes impaired.
Even jumping from one topic to another in the same conversation.

5. The ability to familiar faces and places is also influenced.
 This can be very difficult for close members of the family, and can be stressful on them, as well as the person concerned.

6. One of the latter Alzheimer's disease stages is when it gets to the point where the sufferer cannot be left alone at any point to live their life.
Many sufferers can become a danger to themselves and others.
Forgetting to turn the oven off, leaving a bath to over run, not remembering to take medication, and so on.
At this stage the patient does not have a very strong ability to remember and must be continually monitored and controlled.

Alzheimer's is an awful disease, not only for the person who is suffering from it, but also for the people having to watch someone that they love, going through it.

It is important that you are aware of the different stages, because the earlier a person can be diagnosed, the quicker some form of medication to slow down the disease can be started.
